Trailer-Bam Bam Runs Fast | A world record attempt at Burning Man ⚠️Trailer Alert⚠️ Back in 2018, I did a thing; I attempted to break a world record at Burning Man.

With my drive to be productive and use my energy to test limits, I can’t stand still.

I’m looking to push boundaries, explore, solve problems, and connect with others who want to do the same.

When people hear about what I do, I generally get two reactions at the same time: (1) surprised, that I broke a world record; and, (2) a little bit of disbelief that I did it on spring-loaded stilts.

The fastest man on stilts It seems like an obscure goal: Being the fastest man on stilts. But for me, it is part of changing the world. Leaving a mark. Making a statement. Like most things that have never been done before, beating the 100 meter sprint on spring loaded stilts was logistically a hard thing to pull off. It’s also surprisingly bureaucratic. It almost didn’t happen before it got started. In the 11th hour, I was knocking on doors looking for a land surveyor. Why did I need a survey.

I have built two businesses - not as an executive in a suit coat, but an entrepreneur testing new ideas. I quench my adrenaline addiction with a variety of extreme sports, some of which have given me a few brushes with death. And I’m constantly surrounding myself with new and exciting people who inspire me to be a better person.

Premieres seem like glamorous things from the outside. You know, with all the sleek cars, red carpet, and fancy attire. But for the person putting it on, they can be unnerving. They leave you feeling a little vulnerable and exposed.
Here is the behind the scenes look at my "premiere" and my thoughts as I set out on this journey. I'm a little nervous but mostly excited to share what it's like to live extraordinary with those of you who come along.

My name is Ben Jacoby, and these are the Stilts that I'm going to use to break a World Record

Hi, haaaaaave you met Bam Bam?
If you have an alter ego, what would you name it?

I created an alter-ego called Bam Bam. He lets me push myself past the limits and do extraordinary things that Ben would normally not do everyday.

How many times have you heard the expression, “Free as a bird.”? Skydiving showed me how true that saying is. There’s a different sense of freedom when you’re up in the sky.

I feel very fortunate I was able to spend my birthday this year with so many great people.

Aside from the usual shenanigans, this was a great opportunity to premiere the short documentary I have been working on #bambamrunsfast.
Definitely feels like our world is getting back on track, and I am getting excited!
